Building Rapport:
I've made a connection with an attractive Spanish girl (who has a boyfriend). I feel I was building rapport rather nicely.
She likes poetry, so I used this for building rapport with her (I write poems myself). She likes my poems and has complemented me warmly about them. After meeting her for coffee 3 times, I gave her a book of love poems (as a Christmas gift) which she loved.
The most intimate moment with her was when I held both her hands together in mine. She smiled and didn't pull them away.
When she came back from christmas holiday in Spain, I met her for coffee and we had a warm discussion about love, poetry, mothers' tenderness. Out of nowhere, I asked her out to see a Musical and to my surprise she accepted.
However, a few days later she said that she told her boyfriend who got very upset so she cancelled with me. She said she didn't want any problems with him and offered to pay me for the tickets, which I had already bought. I declined telling her not to worry about that. Later I emailed her telling her I was talking another girl in her place.
She has emailed me once since then asking me if I was going to a birthday party. However she never made it because she caught the flu.
I seriously think she's special and would like your expert advise about the next move. Should I for example ask her out for coffee an more poetry.
I know she likes me, but still i'm not special to her (yet).

You should have kissed her then. BIG MISTAKE. You're waiting way too long to make your moves on her. BIG MISTAKE. She does NOT need more poetry and coffee. Coffee 3 times and no kissing?? You're falling into the "friend" category. For building rapport, this is way off base.
Now it is MUCH harder to save this because you didn't make a move when you had the chance.
Ask her over to your place and you'll cook dinner for her. Start building rapport again, and do what I show in the books.
