Handling rejection:
Dear Derek,
Thanks for your replies. Yes, I am doing the visualisation exercises and regularly approaching women to test their responses, and there are just a few more approach-related questions I have. The two I have today are:
1) How can be an expert in handling rejection and turn it around so that the situations seems FUN rather than a defeat?
- this is highly important in keeping up the spirit to approach more women. I've noticed that woman either appologise when they cannot or will not continue OR give a cold stare while probably thinking "Who the hell is this guy?" To handle this internally and turn it into fun would lighten the situation for both her and me.
2) How should I time an approach so that it goes smoothly?
- Usually, on the weekend I approach women in the street, in shops etc and they're walking in ALL different directions. Even inside clothes shops they're darting around, and I often find it hard to time the approach, and catch her attention without 'thinking' too much about the approach that it impedes my sponteneity.
Thanks once again
1. Handling Rejection:
If you ar using the right lines in the right situation you should never get a cold stare. You should never have to "save" a walk-up if you're doing right in the first place. What are your opening lines in this case?
2. Approaching Smoothly
As long as you don't approach a woman directly from behind, it's okay. Say "Excuse me..." to get her attention even if she's not facing you. If she's walking that's more difficult, I usually wait until they stop... some times I'll discreetly follow through the store a little until they stop, then approach.
